The big names always ring a bell: Lamborghini, Ferrari, Porsche, Rolls-Royce, etc., but in the vast world of car manufacturing, so many brands go unnoticed. We searched around and found three incredible luxury brands that we feel deserve a bit more credit than they’ve received. Check them out below, and enjoy!
1. Koenigsegg
Koenigsegg is at the top of our list because if you haven’t heard of it, we can’t let you live in blissful ignorance for a moment longer. This is an incredible brand. Koenigsegg was founded in 1994 by Christian von Koenigsegg, a 22-year old Swedish entrepreneur fueled by a love for supercars. He created Koenigsegg with one mission: to create the perfect supercar, and so far that’s exactly what he’s doing. Check out this video of the Koenigsegg One:1 (pictured above) accelerating to 200mph in less than 12 seconds (world record). We recommend you plug in headphones and go full screen.
2. Morgan
Morgan Motoring Company is dedicated to creating classic roadsters that will blow you off the road. The company was founded in 1909 and grew in popularity due to its “Cyclecar,” a unique 3-wheel vehicle that was lightweight and affordable at the time. Today, Morgan is still producing a 3-wheel model, as well as two 4-wheel models: the Classic and Aero. We highly recommend you check out their website for more pictures and information, or the Episode of Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee with Stephen Colbert. These cars are spectacular.
3. WMotors
WMotors is the youngest brand on our list, but they are making some historic vehicles. Founded in 2012, this Dubaian Motor Company builds just two supercars: The Fenyr Supersport and the Lykan Hypersport. The Fenyr is powered by a belligerent 900-horsepower engine, weighs less than a Toyota Prius, and practically teleports from 0 – 60mph in just 2.7 seconds. The Lykan Hypersport on the other hand only has 780-horsepower and a top speed of just 240mph, so you know, not that fast.
