Land Rover fans will remember that the first Discovery was a UK-only model from 1989-1994, at which point it made it to the U.S. Many American drivers still cherish their vintage Discoveries for their Safari-like looks and adventurous suspensions.
The new Discovery is a thoroughly modern upgrade from that original vision with Apple Watch integration, space for four iPads in the center console, and 4G LTE WiFi. Brock walks us through all the new aspects of this Discovery, so enjoy our seven-minute episode.
One quick fact before we start though: the Discovery is 1,000 lbs. lighter than the model it replaces, the LR4. When you’re hauling up to seven adults in single SUV, trimming half a ton of weight is a big improvement.
